Summer Community Engagement Recap

Summer’s over, and we’re looking back on everything we did in our community. At Air Services, we believe in giving back to Springfield and the surrounding areas. This past summer was packed with events, partnerships, and opportunities to connect with our neighbors.

We’re proud of the work we did supporting local organizations and bringing people together. Here’s a look at what we accomplished over the past few months.

June: Supporting Children’s Dental Health

We started the summer by sponsoring the Children’s Smile Center Balloon Glow in Ozark. This event was a beautiful way to bring families together while raising awareness about children’s dental care.

The evening was filled with hot air balloons lighting up the sky. Families came out to enjoy the spectacle, and we were there to support the Children’s Smile Center’s mission. They provide essential dental services to kids who might not otherwise have access to care.

Being part of this event reminded us why community involvement matters. When local businesses step up to support organizations like the Children’s Smile Center, everyone benefits. Kids get the dental care they need, and families get to enjoy a memorable evening together.

July: Fireworks and Fundraising

July brought two major events that we were excited to be part of. First, we sponsored the “Have a Blast” fireworks celebration in Republic. This was a great way to celebrate Independence Day with our community.

The fireworks display was spectacular, and the whole event brought people together for a night of fun. We loved seeing families enjoying themselves and celebrating together. It’s these kinds of community gatherings that make Springfield and the surrounding areas such great places to live.

Later in July, we participated in the On Angels Wings Annual Carnival and Gala. This event was a huge success, raising more than twenty-five thousand dollars for the organization. On Angels Wings supports families going through difficult times, and we were honored to help them reach their fundraising goal.

The carnival had games, activities, and entertainment for the whole family. It was inspiring to see so many people come out to support such an important cause. Events like this show what’s possible when a community comes together.

August: A Month Full of Community Connections

August was our busiest month for community events. We kicked things off with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks National Night Out. This event focuses on building relationships between neighbors and local law enforcement.

We set up a booth and handed out promotional items while talking with community members. It was a great opportunity to meet people face-to-face and learn about what matters to them. These personal connections are what make community engagement meaningful.

At the ROAR Expo in Republic, we focused on supporting education. We distributed school supplies to kids and hosted giveaways. Back-to-school season can be expensive for families, so we wanted to help ease that burden.

Seeing kids get excited about new school supplies was one of the highlights of our summer. Education is so important, and we’re glad we could play a small part in helping students start the school year off right.

Supporting Make-A-Wish and Neighborhood Safety

We were honored to attend the Make-A-Wish Masquerade Ball in August. This elegant event raises money to grant wishes for children facing serious illnesses. The evening was magical, and it was moving to see the community come together to support these kids.

Make-A-Wish does incredible work bringing joy to children and their families during difficult times. Being part of this event reminded us of the power of hope and the importance of supporting families when they need it most.

We also joined the Delaware Neighborhood National Night Out. This event, like the one in Ozark, focuses on building community connections and promoting neighborhood safety. We set up a table, met with residents, and talked about how we can all work together to keep our neighborhoods safe and welcoming.

Supporting Local Business Development

In August, we also participated in the Nixa Chamber Golf Tournament. This event brings together local businesses and community leaders for a day of networking and fun. We believe in supporting the local business community, and events like this help strengthen those connections.

When local businesses support each other, everyone wins. We can share resources, collaborate on community projects, and work together to make our area an even better place to live and work.

Looking Forward to Fall Events

As we move into fall, we’re excited about several upcoming events. In October, we’ll be participating in the Children’s Smile Center Price Cutter Poker Run Golf Tournament. This is another opportunity to support children’s dental health in our area.

We’re also looking forward to the BCFO Silver Sea Celebration. The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks does important work supporting women and families affected by breast cancer. We’re proud to be part of their fundraising efforts.

We’ll be joining the Jeeping for a Cure event for BCFO as well. This unique event combines outdoor adventure with fundraising, and we’re excited to be part of it.

In November, we’re proud sponsors of the Ruck-N-Run for Veterans. This event honors those who have served our country. Supporting veterans is something we take seriously, and we’re honored to be part of an event that recognizes their service and sacrifice.
